Richard RWIHANDAGAZA is the Managing Partner. He has founded R & PARTNERS – Law Firm in February 2006. Richard is practicing Law as an Advocate since 2001 and has developed expertise in Business and Corporate law, Arbitration and Litigation.
He holds a Law degree from the National University of Rwanda and a Certificate in Arbitration and Alternative disputes Resolutions, CEAR, 2004 - CIArb, 2012. Richard has also attended with success various training and seminars in the country and abroad in the field of legal practice.
Before he established the firm, Richard RWIHANDAGAZA was the brightest lawyer of HAGUMA & ASSOCIES - Cabinet d’Avocats, which was among the leading law firms of Rwanda.
Richard RWIHANDAGAZA is a member of the Rwanda Bar Association, East African Law Society, Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU), Commonwealth Lawyers Association (CLA) and the International Association of Lawyers (IAL / UIA) as well. He is also a member of the Private sector federation.
Richard was a Rwandan Bar Association’s board members and served several times in different commissions of the said organization.
The main areas of his expertise cover the company incorporation and registration with full range administration, merger and acquisition of companies, shareholders agreements, share sale and purchase agreement, joint venture agreement, analysis of procurement procedures and drafting of contracts. Richard has also a proven practice in establishing, advising mining companies as well as real estate developers ;
Richard has strong experience in litigation and arbitration. He has been mainly involved in important cases in both commercial and criminal matters.
He has excellent command of French, English, Kinyarwanda and Swahili.
